vensk ek has a spicy character giving notes of sandalwood, dried ginger, black pepper, roasted oak barrel and herbs to our whisky. These spicy characteristics are complemented by fruity undertones with hints of vanilla and toffee from oak barrels, previously used to age Bourbon. Our oak barrels made of Swedish oak are mainly from trees planted hundreds of years ago on the island of Visingsö, intended to be used for building ships for the Swedish Royal Navy. Today, this oak gives character to our modern and innovative whisky.


The nose is fruity with citrus, pear, apple and honey. A light oakiness with sweet, lightly toasted bread notes and fresh butter toffee.

On the palate Svensk ek has a spicy character giving notes of sandalwood, dried ginger, black pepper, roasted oak barrel and herbs to our whisky. Fruity and smooth with citrus, caramel and honey. A light oakiness can be discerned at the end.

The finish is tuned and balanced with hints of dark chocolate.
